One of four great micro-lots we sourced during our Kenya trip earlier in the year. This one is from the Gatundu district, west of Thika.
We have had a lot of fun exploring each of our Kenyan offerings this year. All have been superb but each very different from one another. The Makwa was a thick, brooding dark fruited cup while the Lennette is more lively and effervescent. The Gichuka sits squarely between those coffees with some intense citrus and floral notes but with low-end as well, black current and dark plum, red wine.
